KARIN PERRIN
A contemporary artist living and working in London.
I was born in Romania but lived from a young age in England and Germany. I later trained at the New York School of Interior Design in the United States and went on to a long career designing homes and furniture.
I have always been enthralled by all forms of art and in particular by painting. My own work aims to capture memories of places visited or walked in, especially the temperate rain forests of Britain. I hope to capture the transience of the natural world and our connection to it. Many works depict paths once walked.
I work mainly in oils, adding layers and marks over an extended time to capture mood and light and to hint at the unknown that awaits a few steps beyond.
Many of my paintings are also available as fine art prints, cards, or accessories. I also accept commissions.

ARTISTS AT HOME
I joined AAH in 2022 and have so far opened my studio to visitors 3 times although people often visit outside of the Open House events.
Speaking to the many visitors has been very enjoyable and informative. People are interested to hear about my art practice, what motivates me, about the process and what I paint. It’s a great opportunity for visitors to compare artists’ works and see what particularly appeals to them and what art they may wish to own. AAH is also a great resource and inspiration for me, and offers opportunities to meet up with other artists from various disciplines.
